About the Church

“Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. In whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sin, according to the richness of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:2,7)
A Thriving Congregation in Jacksonville, FL. established in 1914 on the Eastside of Jacksonville.

"GREATER MACEDONIA BAPTIST CHURCH is a family of born-again Christians, baptized by immersion on a profession of faith in Jesus Christ. In the New Testament the word CHURCH is a translation of EKKLESIA, which is derived from EK KALEO, a preposition EK and a verb KALEO, signifying "to call forth". It denotes an assembly summoned or called out; a select body separated from the mass of the people. EKKLESIA is used in the New Testament one hundred and fifteen times. Of these instances, two relate to the Hebrew congregation of the Lord, three to the Greek assembly, and one hundred times to the Christian church."*

We believe in the inerrant (free from error) Word of God, that the Bible is God’s holy Word from Genesis to Revelation. This is our doctrinal belief. We believe in tithing which is God’s requirement for the financial support of the church (Malachi 3:8-10). We believe in evangelism “seeking the lost for Christ.”
